Generation Alpha, the 21st century’s defining generation, is characterized by being inclusive, collaborative, global, and eager to learn. This paper first shows that in order to enrich the Christian spirituality of Generation Alpha, spiritual formation that is contemplative, connected to the real world, and actively utilizes the body as a vehicle for spiritual formation, is needed. First, contemplative practice is necessary because Generation Alpha can be impatient and find it difficult to enjoy the process of getting the goal. Second, they need spiritual practice that connects them to the real world, as they tend to seek to fill in the gaps in their lives by staying in the virtual world. Third, they need a spiritual exercise that actively utilizes the body as a medium for spiritual practice, as they spend too much time looking at screens and too much time sitting. Church retreats are still a very effective way to focus on the Christian spirituality of Generation Alpha. However, existing retreat programs often repeat old methods without taking into account the characteristics of Generation Alpha. Therefore, based on the above three aspects, this paper proposes three spiritual exercises for Generation Alpha that can be effectively utilized in church retreats: Meditation on the Life of Jesus, the Gospel Contemplative Drama, and the Short Walking Prayer. Since its canonization, the Bible has inspired practical faith in many ways for Christians. It has provided meaning and interpretation for many of the world's phenomena, life guidance for Christian identity formation and maturity, and resilience and Existentiality in the face of negative life realities. However, the long process of secularization of the church, the decline and loss of authority and leadership of church leaders due to deviation, and the dechurched and deconversion in the face of materialism have not only diminished the role of the Bible, but have also accelerated the life choices that individuals make based on their own self-worth and worldview. Modern society still challenges Christians to live a life filled with spirituality. This spirituality is not a fragmented spirituality, as has been called for throughout Christian history, but an integrative spirituality: a spirituality that embraces virtue building, the mystery of faith as a spiritual experience, practical wisdom based on rational reflection on reality, and future challenges for global wholeness. This study focuses on Public Reading of Scripture (PRS) as a way to cultivate this spirituality. When individuals read the Bible alone, there are many unexpected distractions. But in community, these obstacles can be overcome, and the impact can be multiplied, especially when the Bible is read through audio and drama technology rather than simply on the page. The COVID-19 pandemic has curtailed the core activities of the church such as worship, Bible study, fellowship, service, and mission, leading to negative growth for the church as a whole. Denominations are trying to overcome this, but it seems that they are not able to rebuild the foundation that has already been collapsed, and restore things to the way they were before. In this context, the G&M Foundation's “Public Reading of Scripture,” a movement founded by Elder Bill Hwang, could be a revolutionary breakthrough. For the church, it can revitalize the essential ministry of the church, which has been atrophied, and for Christians living in the modern world, it can overcome social disconnection through community activities, provide relationships and openness, and above all, cultivate faith and spirituality through the biblical text. The rapid advancement of technology is dramatically transforming human existence and status, as well as the specific modes and forms of life, with particularly significant implications for the field of education. This paper aims to explore the unique essence and identity of Christian education in the age of artificial intelligence (A.I.), posing questions about the purpose, meaning, and direction of education through the lens of a Christian understanding of humanity. In particular, it criticizes the model of Christian education for recognizing humans as thinking beings, accepting an intellectualistic and rationalistic view of humanity that a change in thinking can bring about a change in behavior, and understanding education as conveying information rather than formation. It argues that a Christian understanding of humanity views humans as teleological creatures, driven and shaped by desires and longings-beings fundamentally oriented towards worship. In addition, this paper argues that the primary purpose of Christian education is to fully restore the image of God in union with Christ, to love God and love neighbors, and that this is achievable through worship that is filled with the formation and practice of loving and desiring what is true. Therefore, It proposes three directions for Christian education to form worshiping beings in the age of artificial intelligence. First, it is necessary to realize that worship based on liturgical anthropology plays an educational and formative role, necessitating the research and development of worship models that are appropriate to the physical and psychological developmental stages of different age groups. Second, it emphasizes the need to present a vision of the good life (telos) of the Kingdom of God, providing counter-narratives and alternative values through worship. Third, it advocates for the aesthetic and emotional design of worship, utilizing and engaging all the senses to construct imaginatively rich narratives that can reorient human desires. This approach aims to form liturgical beings who can holistically develop and integrate intellect, reason, spirituality, emotion, and will through worship. In conclusion, the paper argues that in the age of artificial intelligence, where human desires are increasingly diverse and secularized, there is an urgent need for Christian education that recognizes the formation of liturgical beings and enacts worship practices to establish countercultural communities embodying the Kingdom of God. This study aims to propose the tasks that Korean church education should pursue in response to the recent societal changes and demands of the ‘artificial intelligence’(AI) era triggered by the unprecedented trend of ChatGPT. To achieve this goal, this paper is grounded in the four tasks of practical theology proposed by world-renowned practical theologian and Christian education scholar Richard R. Osmer. Osmer’s practical theology tasks consist of (1) the descriptive-empirical task of collecting appropriate and useful data and seeking a proper understanding of the subject matter of practical theology, (2) the interpretive task of delving into an in-depth analysis of situations, causes, reasons, and related aspects connected to the subject matter, in addition to the understanding, (3) the normative task of (re)establishing theological and ethical norms related to the subject matter through interdisciplinary approaches based on the results of the previous two tasks, and (4) the pragmatic task of searching, making decisions, and embodying concrete and practical ways of action for Christians and churches, grounded in these (re)established norms. Subsequently, this article suggests the tasks of Korean church education, aligned with these four foundational tasks, as follows: (1) the descriptive-empirical task that assists individuals in clearly and comprehensively understanding and discerning the AI era through appropriately selected resources, (2) the interpretive task that enables Christians to aptly scrutinize and evaluate not only knowledge about AI but also its impact, effects, underlying ideologies, or beliefs, within the context of Christian values and spirit, (3) the normative task that (re)constructs, in conjunction with congregations, moral and ethical principles demanded by God’s will and human dignity in the age of AI, and (4) the practical task that empowers communities to transform these principles into concrete actions of Christian faith and living in reality, based on a harmonious blend of continuity and flexibility, consideration and care for the vulnerable, and the preservation of the sanctity of life and human dignity. AI와 공존하는 디지털 네이티브가 경험하게 될 마음과 정신의 문제를 파악하고, 영적돌봄 사역자들이 고려해야 할 다양한 측면들을 전망한다. 셋째, 디지털 네이티브의 영적 문제를 해결하고 영적 필요에 부응하기 위한 현대적 영성 형성을 제안하기 위해, AI시대 디지털 네이티브의 마음과 영혼들을 돌보며, 건강하고 전인적으로 성장할 수 있는 세 가지 영성형성 주제와 방향을 제시한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 현대적 영성수련으로서 관상기도의 중요성을 강조하며, AI 시대에 기독교 영성 형성을 위한 구체적인 방안을 제시합니다. 기독교 영성형성으로 관상은 디지털 네이티브 세대에게 관찰되는 마음과 영혼 문제에 적절하게 대응할 뿐 아니라, 디지털 네이티브가 스스로 인지하지 못하는 영적 욕구와 갈망에 부응할 수 있는 영적 돌봄 방법으로 적극적으로 활용해볼 가치가 있음을 제안한다. 본 연구는 AI 시대에 인지되는 현대인의 마음과 영적 문제에 대해 심도 있는 있는 분석과 함께 실천적이고 구체적인 해결책을 제공하여, 영적돌봄 사역자들(목회자, 선생, 부모, 멘터, 영적동반자, 등)이 디지털 네이티브의 영적 성장과 성숙을 도모하는 데 기여하고자 한다. This study explores new approaches to Christian spiritual formation in response to the AI era, proposing methods to care for the spiritual health and well-being of modern young generations living in the digital age. It posits that the digital native generation, coexisting with AI, undergoes cognitive and spiritual transitions that prior generations have not experienced, necessitating a pastoral and ministerial response to these changing spiritual needs. The study aims to bridge the gap caused by traditional theological approaches and rapid changes in the contemporary technological landscape, preliminarily examining the direction of spiritual care needed to meet the spiritual demands of those accustomed to digital environments. Firstly, the study analyzes the impact of AI and digital technologies on human cognitive structures and psyches, with a particular focus on the widespread use and implications of ChatGPT4, signifying the integration of AI into everyday life. Digital natives increasingly integrate tools like ChatGPT into their academic and intellectual explorations, and this research evaluates the pathological phenomena of mind and spirit identified and analyzed from a neuroscientific perspective. Secondly, it addresses the theological and spiritual challenges posed by cutting-edge scientific and technological environments, exploring Christian spiritual responses to the mental and spiritual issues that digital natives will experience. It anticipates various aspects that spiritual caregivers need to consider. Thirdly, the study proposes contemporary spiritual formation themes and directions to address and meet the spiritual needs of digital natives, aiming to nurture their minds and souls holistically and healthily. In this endeavor, the paper highlights the importance of contemplative prayer as a modern spiritual practice in the age of AI, suggesting it as a proactive method of spiritual care that not only addresses the observed mental and spiritual issues of digital natives but also responds to their often unrecognized spiritual needs and desires. To achieve this research goal, this study executed an exploratory factor analysis and a confirmatory factor analysis. The result is as follows: during the exploratory factor analysis, two factors were found and were compared to the one factor of the original Daily Spiritual Experience Scale through parallel analysis. During the confirmatory factor analysis, this study found that a two-factor model had a proper model fit, as opposed to an alternative model. The KCDSES proved convergent validity and properly reflected the characteristics of the original scale. * 기독교인들의 신앙을 진단하는 작업이 신뢰성을 회복하는 데 필수적인 것이라 생각하고 신앙에 대한 이해를 새롭게 조명하는 책. 본서의 목적은 첫째, 신앙행동의 구성 요인과 이를 측정할 수 있는 검사도구의 활용, 정의와 인지, 정의와 실천, 인지와 실천 등 신앙행동간의 상관관계를 분석함으로 각 개인의 신앙이 어떠한 면에서 부족한가를 알고 그 부족함을 보완할 수 있는 근거를 제시하였으며, 둘째, 신앙생활을 할 때에 개인의 신앙배경 특성에 따라 신앙행동에 차이가 있음을 인식하도록 하였다.
